About the River

Lake Fellowship Ministries

The River Community Community is under the 501(c)(3) of Lake Fellowship Ministries. Lake Fellowship Ministries is currently eight local Pastors who began as a group praying for unity in the community of Lake Co.  In the Spring of 2020,  they received the opportunity to purchase the building where the community center is located.  Their vision and goal was to create a safe place for the community to gather.

The River Community Center Executive Director

The River Community Center is a place where our desire is to unite the community together and to help promote healthy living through a Christ-centered atmosphere. Through this, we provide volunteer opportunities, support other community projects, host men, women, family, children and youth events throughout the year. We also offer a place to gather with friends or a quiet place to read, work or study. Even enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Our current hours are Monday – Wednesday – Friday  10:00 am – 3 pm

The River Community Center also houses The Hope Chest Panty of Lake County. The pantry offers free clothing on Monday and Wednesday.  Personal care is also on Wednesday. Their hours are 11:00 am – 2:00 pm both days.  You can access the Panty through their door located behind the River CC. Just follow the signs. It’s located across from Habitat for Humanity
